Lovely vintage cocktail ensemble from Geoffrey Beene comprises a slip dress in black silk faille with spaghetti straps and a sweetheart neckline paired with a sheer organza overblouse with bateau neckline and asymmetrical hemline. The dress is lined in black silk. It is a substantial piece that can worn separately if desired. Both pieces are edged in a one-inch wide stiff mesh. Probably dates to the late 1980s to early 1990s. No size labels are present, but sizing charts indicate it is a modern size 8-10. Please refer to the measurements for additional guidance regarding size.
