This vintage skirt suit from Christian Lacroix features a deconstructed applique that gives the suit a jolt of excitement. The jacket closes with six buttons hidden behind a placket, pleated shoulders that are lightly padded, and a collar than can be worn open (as shown) or buttoned all the way up to create a funnel neck. It also has two slash pockets that are still sewn shut. The A-line skirt has on-seam pockets and closes with a hidden back zipper. The soft, lightweight fabric is a combination silk and viscose with the look and feel of raw silk. The unusual applique comprises threads in all the colors of the woven fabric (black, tan, purple and maroon). This applique is applied to each sleeve and to the bottom of the skirt. Both pieces are fully lined. Labeled French size 44 which generally corresponds to a US size 12. Please use the measurements for the best guidance regarding size.
