This wonderfully dark and romantic vest by Michele whispers with androgyny...

This vest comes from circa late 1980's to 1990's and walks the line between fancy dandy and butch femme. Vest front is made of a thick woven cotton (jacquard-style) tapestry featuring a busy cabbage rose, floral pattern. I absolutely adore the color palette here because its also a beautiful harmony of darker tones, mixed with pastel hues peeking through. The back vest is a soft black acetate fabric. Front features two faux welt-style pockets and antique style triple button closure. The overall condition is good; the second button has been replaced, the back fabric is slightly discolored with wear, and the inside side seams have been reinforced/repaired on either side. Labels read 'Michele Petite' and 'Made in U.S.A., cotton, size 8'.
