1990's black burnout rayon formal maxi gown by Scott McClintock. This dress is very different than the Jessica McClintock, Gunne Sax and other Scott MClintocks you see. It has a bit of a witchy goth sensibility and frankly I am here for it. The lining, or underdress, is actually quite substantial. It's a black spaghetti strap sweetheart neckline slip dress and it is sewn into the gown. The over dress is sheer black burnout floral rayon. I love a black on black pattern. The upper bodice in both front and back is sheer. The over dress has a column dress silhouette. Attached at the front neckline is a cowl of sheer black chiffon with VERY long tails. The tails are threaded through satin loops at the tops of the shoulders and drape dramatically down the back or over the arms. You can also tie them, loop them back around....really whatever you'd like. But they are attached to the dress and not removable without a permanent alteration. Nylon zipper at the back.
