At first look, this was thought to be from the 50s (but shortened with a new zipper), but the big clue was on the care label: "Dry Clean Only, by Zurcion Method". The Zurcion Method of dry cleaning started in 1989, putting this dress then or early 90s. (beware of any Victoria Royal dresses with this method of dry cleaning that are not properly dated ...or maybe you don't care...and that's ok)

If it were longer it would be SO early 50s! Incredibly well-made by high-end formal dress distributor, Victoria Royal. Lots of boning at bodice, off shoulder treatment makes neckline stand out past shoulders, held in place with inside straps (one photo shows armholes, boning and straps). Sheer lined lace yoke is Alencon lace that goes to graceful long raglan sleeves and enhances a sweetheart neckline. From the high waist to hem, it's Rayon crepe, AMAZING draped ruching and layering at bust and waist, coming to a sarong look skirt. All this and trimmed with its own sewn on rhinestone brooch. Waist & skirt fully lined. Flawless.
