The power suit of the '80s flipped itself on its head and became a power skirt once the '90s rolled through. Why? Women's attitudes were largely changing, and with it their need to look aggressive ebbed away. The most feminine symbol the dress/skirt made a come back. And some say the change in style reflected a new, self-assured image of women in the corporate world. This George Simonton piece captures this moment in time perfectly with this luxe skirt power suit! George was a FIT professor and designer to the (very flamboyant) stars. This set has beautiful long lines in a black suiting fabric, accented by a long row of gold metal dome buttons at the center front and sleeves. Both pieces are lined with silky smooth fabric. Long, chic lines with a boss babe look - mix and match this set into your wardrobe or wear it together as a skirt power suit. It has it's original labels inside which show it was made in the USA and is a size 14.
