WOW! This is what the 1980s were all about!

Very elegant and over the top pencil dress designed to look like a two separate pieces.

This dress is one of the master creations from that decade. There are so many layers, facings, linings and stiffeners, the dress weighs over 3 pounds.

The under or base dress is a heavy satin. Over the satin layer is the most exquisite weaving of lace with soutache ribbon and faux pearls to create a 3D floral pattern.

The sleeves are made with a sturdy inner liner to keep them stiff and puffy.

Fully lined.

The bodice is fitted with a square neckline, and a slimming peplum waist. The bodice was constructed as a completely full top before being attached to the skirt.

The skirt is long and pencil style, with a back walking slit.

Such quality construction as you have come to expect from Rose Taft.
