This exceptional Haute Couture gown was made by Hubert de Givenchy for the Fall 1982 collection. This silhouette and entire aesthetic is SO Givenchy— this fitted drop-waist bodice is something he revisited time and time again throughout his storied career.
It features a long sleeve fitted (silk-blend) velvet bodice, with a dropped basque waist, peplum, and ruffled collar. The full skirt has a great sweep to it. The couture construction and attention to detail is evident in every part of this dress. It closes with jewel buttons down the front, with additional hidden snaps/hooks at the top of the skirt, and hidden zippers at the cuffs.

Measurements: This will work best on a modern size Small or Medium. Shown slightly clipped at the waist to simulate a proper fit.
