This is a fantastic Bill Tice Caftan style maxi dress from the late 70s or early 80s. Has a definite Elizabeth Taylor style in a beautiful textured teal blue velvet with gold trim and belt. Bill Tice was known for stylish robes and lounge wear over his 30 year career. Twice being awarded a Tommy Award from the American Printed Fabrics Council. After 30 years as a designer he died in 1995 from Lung Cancer.
It's in good vintage condition overall but there are several dark stains on the inside, some are faintly visible from the front and these flaws are why it is priced so low. (In perfect condition similar gowns by Tice go for well over $100) I would suggest having it dry cleaned. Please see all photos.
I believe it is meant to hang somewhat loose and the fabric does have a bit of stretch. It is marked a size 10 on the interior tag but please refer to the measurements below for most accurate fit.
