In 1970 when Regina Porter’s debut collection was considered too “ avant garde” for that coordinated ladylike era , she turned to creating blouse with successful results.. Born and raised in NYC, she studied at the High School of Art and Design and FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology). By the 1990’s, she established herself as one of fashion industry’s top sportswear designers. Her style is distinctive. She designs for the contemporary woman who want a sophisticated, yet relaxed image for work and play. Typically, she relies on natural fabrics…cottons, linen, silks and natural look-alikes and creates stylish classics that travel from season to season, year to year.
This 1980’s rayon blouse is signature Regina Porter from its choice of fabric, to its dolman sleeves, to its loose fitting body and high neck. The sleeves fold over at the wrist and have a two-button closure. The high neck also folds over and has a two-button closure, followed by an additional 3- buttons. The center front inverted pleat adds to the stylish look of this timeless blouse, which can be tucked in, worn out with slim pants or leggings, or belted….you decide!
