80's Quilted Cotton French Jacket$79.00
This wonderful quilted cotton jacket is circa the 1980s and features a beautiful black and white Les Olivades print. Les Olivades has been importing designs and printing calico cottons of the finest quality in French Provencial prints since 1978 in the south of France. They still print directly onto the fabric to this day. The result is a vibrant and durable quality cotton. This jacket has oriental style toggles down the front, rollable cuffs and a patchwork print. The quilting is on the thinner side so this is a great spring jacket. This item was quite dirty when found, and had to be repeatedly soaked. There are still a few patches that did not lighten fully, so please be aware this is not in perfect condition.
Bust measures 48", length 24".
This item was originally owned by Andrea W. of Greenfield NH, who once said that "Denim was the worst thing that ever happened to fashion." She collected a stunning collection of designer pieces through her life, filling up armories and closets with her excellent taste through the years. Andrea loved travel, collected straw hats, and knew a good fabric when she saw one. I will be adding more of her wonderful pieces to my shop throughout the year.
