Romantic and feminine this vintage lace dress is circa 80s, but with a definite nod to the flapper of the 1920s’s.
Contrary to popular belief ( and the masses of “flapper” dresses sold on Amazon) fringe was not the most common thing you saw on flappers in the 1920s;s.
Beadwork, embroidery and lace were the most popular and the most used.
Beautifully crafted from lace in an amazing shade of muted pink giving it a real 20s period feel.
Dropped waist silhouette with little lace “tear drops” surround the hips.
Sheer lace sleeves.
Moderate shoulder pads that can be removed.
A pin with a cluster of tiny flowers is also a nice 1920s detail.
Perfect dress for a wedding Gatsby party, or any jazz age art deco event.
