It’s not unusual for photographers to have a muse. For Man Ray there was Lee Miller and for Richard Avedon there was Dovima. For Bill Harris it’s New York City. In one book he photographed just the buildings, another book focused on the city from the air, another on the people and yet another looking at the city at night. You get the point; Harris’ muse is New York City. He photographed other locations as well Washington D. C. and Virginia, to name a couple. New York got the most attention by far and it shows in the depth and breadth of his photos and their intimacy. This is a book for lovers of New York. And if you’re not in love with New York you may be by the time you get through this book of photographs. 12. 75” H X 9 W X 1” D This book is in “as is” condition.
