It's impossible to photograph this dress in its full awesomeness! This is a 80s hot pink raw silk strong shoulder long sleeve midi dress by Steve Fabrikant for Neiman Marcus. Scoop neck, button front to just above the peplum flared skirt. RARE because most of Steve's work was in wool and knitwear, and this dress is 100% silk. Buttons are Big, hammered gold tone round pieces with raised gold swirls that make a statement of their own. In addition to the art-to-wear buttons, the dress has big, eye-grabbing gold hearts, stars, and swirls in large gold dots down the front. No one is going to miss seeing you in this outfit! Built-in shoulder pads that lead to tapering sleeves. Two front slit hip pockets, still sewn shut. Long sleeves. Fully lined in contrasting bright yellow silk. This whole dress is a statement piece. Mr. Fabrikant trained as an architect and incorporated sculptural characteristics in his acclaimed women's wear line, which was launched in 1974. He is a New York designer/manufacturer best known for his high-quality luxury knitwear collection, which is similar in weight and feel to the rayon knitwear favored by the St. John brand.
