1980's wedding dress. Made by the designer
Jim Helm noted for his lavish couture gowns.
This gown features a deep sweetheart neckline.
The drop bodice has a white background and is
encrusted in Alencon lace, sequins and pearls.
The sleeves have a slight puff. Ivory silk shantung is
gathered with self rosettes and pearls. The long straight
sleeves comes over the hands. It is also lace and heavily
beaded. The ballgown skirt is ivory silk that falls into a
cathedral train. The skirt hem is beaded. The back of the gown
has sheer netting and lace forming a heart shape. The gown is
completely lined in ivory acetate. It closes with a hidden zipper.
A quality made garment. It has never been worn and retains the
plastic to protect the hem.
