Launched in 1952, the French fashion house Chloe is known for creating feminine womenswear, cult-favorite “IT” bags, and playing host to runways filled with supermodels. It also has a reputation as being a springboard for some of fashion’s greatest creative directors.
In the 60’s, founder Gaby Aghion, recruited an then-unknown Karl Lagerfeld to work with her. By the 1970’s, he was heading up the house’s two annual collection, remaining until the early 80’s and then moving on to debut his first collection for Chanel in 1983. The house kept working with promising and eventually famous artistic directors, Martine Sitbon in 1988.
Whether this luxury scarf was designed during Karl Lagerfeld reign, or the talented designers that followed, its timeless beauty will be a worthy addition to any wardrobe. The large silk scarf has a “crepe-like” texture, the contrasting putty rose/stripe design on a black backdrop a lovely combination.
