When Coach finally put this bag in the catalog in the late 80's, it'd been a favorite of in-store shoppers for years. I can understand why; it's a great small size with a detachable strap, so it can go from a shoulder bag to a clutch lickety split. It originally came stocked in a 44" strap or you could switch it out for a 36" strap if you wanted it as a strictly shoulder bag. This one has the original 44" strap, so it can be worn cross body too. That Coach still made this style in the mid 90's is a testament to what a great design it actually is! I found this treasure on my birthday and had to take a deep breath when I looked at the creed... not only is the purse a rare Burgundy color, but it has an error stamp! Not only are the numbers all kooky, but it also has the Made in the USA stamp that was reserved for early Lightweight pieces. What a keepsake for a collector!

Excellent overall vintage condition. There are no stains or popped stitches or worn corners. The bag has been completely refurbished; bath, slow drying, hardware polished, and deeply conditioned. She is ready to head off on her next stop in life!
