This super cute romper was made by SeaWaves in the 1980s, but clearly draws inspiration from the playsuits of the 1960s. It features a beautiful abstract print in blue and white that reminds me of sunlight on the floor of a pool. White adjustable straps (can be buttoned at two different lengths). It has elasticized smocking on the sides for a flattering fit. Zips up the back center.
This piece is lined and has elastic that goes around the legs, almost like a swimsuit. I hesitate to call it a swimsuit, though, and consider "romper" because the fabric doesn't feel like something that's intended to get wet. It's 65% polyester, 35% cotton.
Label: SeaWaves
Labelled size 12, but fits more like a modern S/M. Please review measurements below.
Measurements (taken flat -- there's some flexibility due to the elastic smocking on the sides)
Bust: 34 inches
Waist: 29 inches
Length: 25 inches (does not include straps)
Condition: Very good vintage condition. There are loops for a belt that has been lost over the years. A tear on the breast lining that does not show when worn. No other flaws to note.
