This elegant vintage evening jacket from the Christian Ruperto label is truly stunning! The jacket comprises three layers: an interior solid black fabric, a second layer of black with gold lurex and little gold paillettes (flat sequins), and a third layer of an almost invisible black chiffon integrated with which are the gorgeous velvet roses and leaves. These three layers are channel quilted together. All of the exterior fabric edges are finished with a row of black velvet ribbon combined with a row of mini-pleated black ribbon. The jacket closes with nine black buttons. Its exemplary quality is also apparent on the interior: all of the cut fabric edges are cased to prevent raveling, and the armholes are reinforced. No fabric label is present, but as far as I can tell, the fabrics are silk and/or silk blends. Sizing charts indicate that it is about a modern size 14. The actual measurements provide best quidance regarding size.

Seller's Note: I wasn't able to find much biographical information about Christian Ruperto, except that he once shared a design credit with Aurora Ruffolo, and he is now the designer for Alta Moda. The examples of his designs that I've only discovered recently are exquisite in both materials and craftsmanship.
