This is such a great bag; I absolutely understand the name (though I think they are now called flight attendants) it was given; They had been issued to flight attendants as their standard carry on bag. A perfect size for a carry on bag, but not so big that you couldn't use it as a large medium sized purse on a daily basis. Perfect for a person on the go (and it fits an iPad too)! This was made at the original New York City factory in the 1980's, and the leather is buttery soft, 30 years later... a sign of true quality!

~CONDITION:
It is in very good vintage condition considering it's a 30 plus year old workhorse! I'm almost afraid to tell you how bad this bag was when I got it... The interior and exterior were so disgustingly filthy and the leather was cracking and separating. It needed some very serious TLC! I disassembled the whole purse, cleaned it thoroughly, mended the worn corners, cleaned the leather, polished the brass, and conditioned the purse 2 times with a heavy conditioner, then finished it off with a lighter one. There is a split in the strap and some worn piping near the buckles (and the repaired corners). The time and labor spent left the bag in much better condition, and she's now ready to fly off on her next adventure.
I am always happy to answer any questions you may have.
