Fabricated in the softest, lightweight, yet warm, wool Mohair in a yarn dyed stripe weave
Fully lined
***I purchased this coat along with a mainline Pauline Trigere coat and when I saw it, I strongly suspected this was also a Trigere, although missing the labels. A quick Google search , “1980s Pauline Trigere Scarf Coat” will bring up this style in a gorgeous red.
The collar features Trigere’s signature scarf construction
It fastens with three plastic buttons, through bound buttonholes down center front and a covered snap at the neck.
Vertical single welt pockets set at the hip
Gathers at the sleeve caps
Flared Back with perfectly matched chevron stripes
Maker: A Trigere coat, please note that the labels are missing. (***See above) This is the “more affordable” Trigere coat line manufactured by Abe Schrader from 1978 through sometime in the 80s. Most of these coats retailed for up to $350 in 1980, so by no means cheap.
Condition: Very Good. Both pocket linings were repaired by the previous owner, one with a patch, behind the pocketing to reinforce and the other with a replacement to half of the pocketing. These repairs are well done and would likely go unnoticed See photos. Freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
Measurements: The measurements below are the actual measurements of the garment. Please allow for ease. Whenever possible the best way to insure a good fit is by comparing the measurements to that of a similar garment in your closet.
