Women’s sterling silver and turquoise pendant.

Here is a classic star or flower design in the Zuni tradition. This piece is unsigned, but it shows great craftspersonship, from the six slivers of turquoise at center to the sawtooth bezels that hold all of them. Twenty-one more turquoise pieces make up a second circle, each one tipped with a half-circle of sterling silver.

As mentioned, this piece is unmarked, but it tests as sterling silver and genuine turquoise. It's from the estate of a woman who lived in New Mexico for twenty years and collected jewelry.

To use this lovely piece as a pendant, you have a silver loop on the back. For a brooch, there's just a c-clasp--actually, the c-part of a rolling c-clasp. The locking part has come off. So it will not hold securely as a brooch unless that bit is repaired.

Otherwise, condition is vintage excellent. A WONDERFUL pendant!
