I absolutely love everything about this skirt suit, starting with the fact that the pieces remained together— I love a set! It's giving me Cher from Clueless, meets 90s Chanel. The material is a bouclé wool houndstooth, with some subtle red details. This piece was made by custom-order brand Carlisle in the early '90s, possibly late 1980s. I absolutely love a frog knot closure, and I'm obsessed with the way they're complemented by the soutache trim. In addition to these decorative closures, the jacket has a placket with hidden snaps, to ensure the perfect fit/no gaping when closed. It features slight shoulder pads, faux flap pockets in the front, and a cropped/fitted silhouette. The pencil skirt features a slit to one side, and a closes in the back with a zipper/button. The jacket is 100% wool; and the skirt is a wool/mohair blend. Both pieces are fully lined in acetate for comfort.
