As soon as I spotted this suit, I knew it was special. It was not until I got home and researched the designer to discover my hunch was correct. It was missing a button or two, but I moved them around, and now only one , unneeded button is missing from the front. If you need it, you can take it from the skirt, which has the very same size and design. This is a beautifully designed wool, fully lined suit, with great square shoulders. There are two front pockets , but they are only as deep as the flap is wide, so half your hand? The skirt has a kick pleat in the back. It has a plastic zipper up the middle, and closes with a large button. The jacket has 3 snaps at each arm pit in the inside to attach perspiration protection. No stains, no snags, no spots, just a small quarter inch moth nibble under the collar, on the back of the jacket. see close up. Not noticeable, esp. if you combine with a scarf, or have hair long enough to drape over the collar. My favorite way to wear these jackets is in the mandarin style, so I included a photo of it in that mode. This is when the last button move (from the skirt) may be needed. The sleeves have three small buttons on each cuff, and there is a spare sleeve button on the inside. All fully lined in white satin. About an extra inch to let down if needed, on skirt and sleeves. SO STYLISH! When I did a search for this designer, I see very few examples of her clothes for sale, but lots of patterns for making your own. Not sure why they are so rare. But this designer only started in the 80's.
