Jane Yoo is a Korean-born artist presently living in the U. S. She has been active as a designer and painter for at least 30 years. Each of her “wearable art” handbags is comprised of richly grained, heavyweight leather that keeps it shape while softening over time. Her unique process of laying paint results in a bag whose beauty improves each time you use it.

The artist created a crackle-like effect with her mixture of black and gold paint on the bag’s pouch-like body. The swirls on the flap top, which comes to a “V” in the front and back side of the bag, is edged in a muted gold, each detail complementing the crackled body nicely. The front flap has a magnetic closure.

The bag’s interior is chocolate brown leather and has one zippered compartment . The cross body strap can be easily tucked in for a clutch option. Another bonus is that the artists mixture of paint results in a brownish charcoal gray color, making the bag work well with a number of hues.
