Quintessential 1980s! Look at that electric blue! Look at those shoulder pads! (You could remove them if you wanted.) And the beadwork that ladies of the Eighties wore to fundraisers dresses down really well these days, with jeans or petticoat skirts or whatever you want--because, hey, we survived the Eighties.
It seems to be made of silk in India, like other Gagni jackets, but that information is missing from the tags.
This nicely sized piece can fit volup figures (like my dress form, who's about a size 14) or slender ones (like the mannequin, who is about a 4). Depends on the fit you want.
I especially love that from a distance, the white beading looks like a lacy collar, cuffs, and hem trim.
The blue beads have a bit of purple peacock/borealis effect--really arresting.
This even gives me shades of the Michael Jackson military look.
Condition is Good Vintage, with just one flaw: The bottom of the lining has some mysterious discoloration that the original seller did not disclose. It doesn't show when you're wearing the jacket. If I were to wear this, I'd probably cut out the lining and just have a sheer top.
There are no closures.
From a nonsmoking, pet-loving home.
Thank you for looking!
