Striking black and ivory checked skirt suit from Valentino Boutique (indicating that it was sold only in Valentino boutiques, and not in other retail stores) comprises a long faux double-breasted jacket (second column of button is decorative) and a matching pencil skirt. The jacket has raglan sleeves, a rolled collar, softly padded shoulders, two flap pockets, and button cufflink closures on cuffs. The matching skirt has no waistband and a side zipper. It also has a walking vents on both sides. Vents and hemline are trimmed in bias cut fabric. The fabric is a cashmere, wool and angora blend (40/30/20). This is a vintage suit that dates to the late 1980s or early 1990s. Labeled US size 6. Measurements indicate it is in the modern size 4-6 range.
