1980's Vintage TOMMY HILFIGER Denim Jacket

This is an Iconic Tommy Hilfiger Denim Jacket. It has Zippers that open on the pockets along with flaps and a zipper front closure. It has a Nehru neck closure with snaps and seam detail on the shoulders in the back that Spell the 80's! It has belt loops on the bottom. It may have originally had a belt, but you could add a belt of your own. It will easily hold a belt 1. 5" wide. The style lends itself well to rolling up the sleeves. This would be Awesome with Colorful Bell Bottoms. The belt and the scarf shown are for photography purposes.

Some History of the Tommy Hilfiger Company - The company was founded in 1985 so this was an item from one of the Early Collections. Tommy started small. In 1969 he worked in a clothing store in Cape Code. He then opened a shop with his $150 in life savings called "People's Place". He and a friend drove to New York City to stock the store with bell bottoms, peasant blouses, and leather jackets. As time went along he decided his love was designing and the rest is history. Tommy has been a long time fan of rock and roll so his Collections have been often influenced by the fashion of music subcultures.
