80’s Refurbished Black Leather Carrier Bag

Introduced in 1987, the carrier bag was the larger version of the popular Musette style. And it is LARGE! It's shown with a 13" laptop in front of it, and there's probably another 4 inches of space till the end of the bag! This Carrier is made in the US and is pre-1994 creed. The main difference between a Carrier and a Musette besides the size is that the Carrier has a back slip pocket. I don't think I can stress enough what a fabulous bag this is, truly. Business, school, courtroom... it's the perfect bag for all of the above! This is from my personal collection. I list and then de-activate it because I can't decide if I'm OK with parting with it... if you see it listed here, grab it while you can!

~CONDITION:

Fantastic now. The back slip pocket is stretched (probably from cramming it with too much paperwork over the years), and a couple of stitches have popped on the strap (pic shown). It's a pretty easy fix by a shoe maker if you want to get it done, but it really doesn't impede the stability or use of the strap at all. This is a very old bag and it was dry, dry, dry. I gave it a careful cleaning with a pH balanced leather cleaner, polished all the brass components, and then started the very long process of conditioning this massive bag, and then re-conditioning it again, just for good measure. I went over the ultra dry areas for a third time. All of the piping and hardware was in good condition; it just needed a lot of TLC to get it back to good. It is absolutely ready to head off on it's next stop in life.
