Black velvet evening jacket by KAREN MILLER NEW YORK. Circa late 1980s (company founded in 1987). Made in the USA.

Power suit, hourglass style with a cinched waist and wide shoulders with heavy padding and stiffened puff sleeve caps. Single breasted closure with rhinestone enhanced designer buttons. Soft black velvet body with sheer long sleeves. Sleeves are embellished with soutache braid, beads and lace in a floral design. Snaps on hems hold tight to the wrist. Fully lined.

Acetate rayon nylon blend/acetate lining. Dry clean only.

Excellent vintage condition with little sign of wear. No underarm crushing of the velvet. No snags or flaws.
