1980s Diane Freis polyester georgette dress. Please note that the previous owner shortened the dress to be knee length - work was done by a professional tailor so the hem is excellent (see detail image) but the dress is shorter than originally designed. Dress features a beaded tie closure at the neck, pleated neck ruffle with cross over draping, pleated sleeves and skirt, and a ruched elastic waist. The dress slips on over the head and has no additional openings (no zippers, button, etc.) because the elastic waist and open neck allows for stretch to slip it on and off. No size tag is visible but it would fit a contemporary size 4 or 6. Measurements: Waist 28" (but elastic stretches so could fit a larger waist), 34-36" bust, 35" hips, 14. 5" from shoulder to shoulder, and 34" from shoulder to hem. The lower than market price of $100 reflects the fact it was shortened from its original length. Dress is unlined.
