Great jacket from Escada features velvet appliques of roses and hearts. The jacket also has a velvet collar, cuffs, pocket flaps, and buttons. The shell fabric is 100% wool crepe, the lining is rayon, and the velvet accents are cotton. The shoulder pads are small, and the name of Margaretha Ley, one of the founders of the company who died in 1992, does not appear on the label, making us relatively confident that the jacket is from the mid to late 1990s, if not later. Labeled German size 42 which generally corresponds to a US size 12. Please refer to the measurements for additional guidance regarding size.
Note: The sleeves look quite long in the photos, but our photographer was not aware that they are supposed to be turned back to reveal black velvet cuffs that are about 3. 5 inches wide.
