Carmen Marc Valvo Dress, 80s Cocktail Dress, Beaded Cocktail Dress, Open Back Dress, Size Small Dress

This is a gorgeous vintage 80s 1980s beaded black wool cocktail party dress by iconic designer Carmen Marc Valvo.

The fabric is a lovely lightweight black wool embellished with gold tone beads in an overall abstract floral pattern as pictured.

The dress is completely lined with soft black acetate.

Small cap sleeves are cut as part of the dress with no separate seams.

Round front neckline and open back which closes at the top with two loop and button fasteners.

Zips up the back below the open back with a concealed nylon zipper.

Shoulder pads for a strong shoulder line as pictured. These shoulder pads are between the outer wool shell of the dress and the lining.

There is a small 5-1/4" tall finished center back walking slit at the hemline.

Contemporary Carmen Marc Valvo fashions are currently sold at leading department stores and boutiques including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.

CONDITION: Excellent - No stains, holes, fading, discoloration, rips, tears, snags, odors, or other issues. All bead work is in excellent condition and appears to be present and complete.

Gently worn and very well cared for.

SIZING: Tagged a vintage size 4. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Small.

Bust: 36-1/2" Underarm to Underarm

Waist: 26-1/2"

Hips: 36-1/2" - measured 9" Below the Waist

Total Length: 37" - Top of Shoulder to Hem

Bottom of Skirt: 32" Around with 5-1/2" Tall Center Back Walking Slit
