GEORGE F. COUTURE FOR
BERGDORF GOODMAN
With a nod to Mariano Fortuny who invented a pleating technique defying all fashion trends of his time, the luxury design house George F. Couture, founded by George Fakhir, was known for creating stunning Fortuny pleated pieces. In his time, Fakhir was one of the leading designers and manufacturers of women's formal and evening gowns. His designs were sold in high-end department stores and in luxury, specialty boutiques.
Here we have an exquisite example of Fakhir's work in this elegant, glistening, glossy, ivory, Fortuny pleated two-piece maxi ensemble.
