It's typical early 70s, a poly knit, SO easy-care. Just pop in washer and hang up because it's almost completely dry after it spins in the washer. Forget about ironing. Poly knits are not the most sought-after pieces but the care is so easy, you can see why they were so popular back then.
This home made gown has some lovely styling, with that front drape, empire waist and the front and center swag at the hem, so you can show off your shoes. It has some nice volume too. Back nylon zipper. Maybe you won't mind the poly knit! It really is a great-looking piece.
