Amazing Purple Silk 2 pc Caftan from Marrakech, Morocco in the 70’s
The detail on this caftan is amazing.
Gold threaded embroidered design throughout.
Gold Passementerie around the bottom layer pc on armhole and down front and hem and more .
Outer Pc has long belled sleeves with Gold embroidery throughout and passementerie on sleeve , front and hem.
Countless amount of crochet buttons down front with loops.
There is such detailed embroidery on both pcs it’s difficult to describe all of it.
Belt is made from silk braided rope and tassels at end 82 inches long.
Handmade in Morocco.
One little hole( pictured) that was repaired on inside. some discoloration on under pc, all very hard to see with all the beautiful detail.
