These important 70's earrings are a rare find from the heyday of YSL, when Saint Laurent himself was at the helm. The earrings are an oversized marquise shape, but they are really three-dimensional, with the stone (I believe made of resin) bezel-set and protruding forward to form a ridge; this dimension provides a magical iridescence, which glows as you move and lights up the face. The effect is really striking. The size is bold, but the top of the earring is meant to sit above the earlobe, as pictured. Features a clip on back and measures 2 5/8" long x 1" wide. Signed YSL.
