1970's vintage psychedelic floral maxi gown by California Calliope. This is high on the list of favorite dresses that have ever passed through my shop. First off, the saturated colors are phenomenal. Rich avocado green, bold orange, red, turquoise, green and ochre. The bodice is a trompe l'oeil printed chiffon that looks like crewel floral embroidery. High ruffled neckline. Sheer voluminous sleeves with ruffled cuffs. Fitted bodice. Natural waist. Very full maxi length skirt lined in avocado acetate and overlayed with sheer chiffon. Nylon zipper up the back. A truly incredible piece of 1970's Victorian Revival vintage.
