This necklace is a great example of a 70's Bohemian groovy necklace. The tree chains are different and graduate to 21, 28 and 34 inches. Each chain has a different pendant hanging from it measuring 1.25, 2.5 and 2.5 inches long with open work detail and independent tiny tassels hanging from them. The bright gold multiple plating is in excellent condition as is the tiny red glass beads. The original spring clasp still works well.

The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
