Made by one of the top two brass companies in America at the time, this beauty comes by way of Chicago by famous mid-century design house "Dresher".
It is large in size and has a stunning look with it's entirely brass, high gloss metallic outer body. Whether you have a mid-century modern, hollywood regency, industrial, or eclectic home - this is your perfect storage solution that can double as a bench or table! It's very large and heavy and opens via a hinged lid. It has two brass handles on the sides for easy moving and it's original latch in the front. It does not come with it's original key but almost any small key will work the latch. The interior is lined with cedar and it's wonderful aroma can be smelled upon opening! Most traditional chests were constructed with cedar, a type of wood that naturally repels insects and fungus. Cedar was also the wood of choice for storage back when they made these handmade beauties because it helps protect fabrics and gives the items inside a pleasant aroma. It has it's original "DRESHER BRASS" marking inside.

Condition: Good vintage condition with minor surface imperfections consistent with age. No structural damage. Key not included.
