70s Handmade Mock Neck Velvet Fixer Upper Dress$95.00
This is a fixer upper piece. It’s beyond babely, and worth saving, but needs some lovin’ & TLC.
Incredibly cool dress straight from my grandma’s collection! If it were my size, I would NEVER part with it. Seruously, I’d take it to a seamstress and keep it for life. However, it is too small for me, and also needs some TLC. Since I don’t know how to sew, and couldn’t fit in it even if I paid someone who could, my loss is your gain. It doesn’t even need THAT much work. The only flaw is that the zipper is busted. Found it in my gran’s closet that way. Asked my (downtown Chicago) cleaner for a quote and they said $25 to replace the zipper. Ultimately, I’m not going to pay to do that if I can’t at least wear it if someone else doesn’t buy it. But, like, freaking look at this thing. If you’re and XS, $25 is well worth the investment. It’s a one of a kind handmade piece. Velvet mock neck, embroidered pleated skirt. Fit and flare. Zip back (one day ha). No size tag obviously, but would fit an XS best. See measurements below to be sure.
Laying flat, (faux zipped), unstretched:
