Gorgeous hand embroidered Mexican cotton poncho. Made in Mexico circa 1970s.

Medium weight textured off white cotton poncho is heavily hand embroidered in shades of purple, red, blue, green, orange, yellow and more as pictured.

The 3-D embroidery is very thick and textured like crewel work.

Rectangular shaped poncho with a hole in the middle and a center front neck slit with hand twisted ties as pictured.

The center front features woven in lines of purple, red, blue, orange, and green as pictured.

Unlined. No pockets.

Slips on over the head with no zippers or buttons. No side seams.

No labels as this is handmade.

CONDITION: Very good - there are a few light yellowish circular marks on the left bottom front as pictured. There are no odors, discoloration, fading, rips, holes, tears, or other issues. The embroidery is bright and colorful and appears to be complete.

SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would could be worn by almost everyone.

40" x 51" - Square - Measured laying flat and unfolded

40" - measured across end to end
25-1/2" - measured folded in half top to bottom

18-1/2" - Diameter of Neck Opening (Measured Around)

4-1/2" - Center Front Neck Slit
