Beautiful figure of a "Foo Dog" also referred to as "Shishi" aka Lion. They are based on Chinese or Imperial guardian stone versions and are a traditional Chinese architectural ornament. This one is a heavy resin figure coated in a red & black to look like redwood. Beautiful detail in her design, there is a small puppy under one foot, so I think this might be a mother and child version. Would make a great signs book end and or as an art piece on his own.

In very good vintage condition, just two tiny nicks on one of his ears, see close up. Measures approx 4.5" x 4" x 2"
