Flowy dresses are calling to me right now and I'm not sure why because they never have in the past. To quote TSwift..."like...ever". Yet now, I find myself pulling them off the rack, pairing them with a sweet slip and floating through my day.
I'm not going to question it because tastes change and to ignore your intuition is wrong on all levels...fashion included. So if you too are into flowy dresses right now, welcome. Lets fawn over them together.
So here are the details about my latest swishy, swingy beauty.
Obviously the colors and the pattern made this dress stand out from her neighbors on the clothing rack. The purple and beige POP off the black background and the bold, geometric shapes of the petals and the leaves make the effect even more eye-catching.
Then there's the juxtaposition of those stark geometric shapes with the airy-ness of the fabric and the sweetness of the dainty sleeves and the wavy hem.
THEN, there's the bodice being lined, but the skirt NOT being lined.
This dress is dark sweetness, if you know what I mean.
It's Laura Ashley's city cousin who likes to go out dancing after dark.
It's a first date dress where you want to keep that other person guessing.
It's a motorcycle, not a cruiser bike.
It's Bronte, not Austin.
It's adventure.
Yes, it's adventure.
Are you up for an adventure?
