Ca. 1974/1975, this rare David Crystal dress has dimensional rosebuds scattered down the front, navy trim, princess seaming at the front-side, small bust darts, slightly nipped-in waist, and back nylon zip that extends to the collar edges. There's a thread loop at the back to hang this on a hook with. The knit pique-weave fabric is probably all polyester, but could be a blend (no content label) and is hand-washable or dry-cleanable. Carries the 1974 through 1995 Union label.
SIZE: Estimated at a modern size 6 to 8. Shown unpinned (except under the arms) on a size 6/8 dress form. But use the garment dimensions and your measurements to determine fit. This is a moderately stretchy knit, so there's some "give." Can be worn slightly loose or closely skimming the body. We suggest you compare to a dress you have of similar style or fit.
Measurements, with dress laid flat (unstretched to comfortably stretched):
Bust: 36 to 38"
Waist: 33 1/2 to 34 1/2" (unseamed, not fitted)
Hip: 39 1/2 to 41"
Length, from top of shoulder to hem: 32"
CONDITION: Very good to excellent, with the only flaw being that there are a few snags in the knit. I've pulled the threads to the inside, but in some cases, you can see an indent. I've shown a representative close-up photo, and these are very hard to see. Dress has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear.
