Funky 70's aesthetic meets suave 20's style in this handmade jacket...
This ultimately unisex jacket is made form a heavyweight cut or carved chenille fabric. It features a slightly pixelated foliage pattern in an earthen toned palette of browns. The greyed out areas are where the soft pile of chenille is missing, leaving the flat base of the fabric. The cut of the jacket is reminiscent of a 1920's dinner or tux (fancy) jacket, but it has been pieced together in an interesting manner. That fact, along with the label, piqued my curiosity, so a touch of research led to provenance: Li Zan was a Korean clothing boutique in the Filmore area of San Francisco. There was a seamstress on site who made a lot of original clothing, and I'm guessing this would be one of those pieces. Lightly lined with no closure, pockets or other details. Overall condition is excellent with a small repair to the center back split.
Please note: photos aren't the best representation of this jacket, as it didn't fit on my dress form very well!
