De Voss Celebrity Store From The 60s
70s Brown Tweed Trousers High Waisted Unisex By De Voss Celebrity Store From The 60s$60.00
1970s brown tweed wool pants trousers unisex, high waisted, fully lined with belt loops and a front zipper and closure. It has two front pockets and a flare kind of bell bottom leg/flare. They are a heavy wool, great for cold weather.
It was sold at a very fancy store in California called De Voss on the Sunset Strip.
The Sunset Strip also became the epicenter for mod and hippie fashions in Los Angeles. The first miniskirt ever displayed in an LA window was at the hip Strip boutique Belinda, according to Martino. Then there was De Voss, an upscale clothing store at Sunset Plaza frequented by Neil Young, Stephen Stills, and the Mamas and the Papas (the Mamas and the Papas even shot this amazing video there). https://shopthrilling. com/collections/lipmeister/watch? v=KnZbw3W57ro
They sold to Barbra Streisand, Jane Fonda, Stevie Nix, Liza Minnelli and the Rolling Stones spent a whole night there shopping up a storm.
They are in overall vg condition with a little unaffected wear here and there. Won't show when wearing them.
They started out as men's pants but were then worn by the woman I bought them from, after she took them in.
