1970s matching vest and skirt from Sloat for Bonwit Teller, made from Moygashel Irish linen, some of the world's finest. The long vest is fitted enough to wear as a sleeveless top, maybe with a cami underneath, or can be worn with a lightweight blouse. Features three front patch pockets and five gold-tone buttons. Skirt is a swingy pleated mini skirt wide side zip and hook & eye closure.
This is a purple or violet color, presenting differently in different lighting--more purple (with red or magenta hues) under fluorescent lighting and more violet (more blue or cyan) under incandescent lighting). Photos were taken under fluorescent studio lighting.
Excellent condition. I see no flaws or signs of wear, other than some loose threads on the hook & eye at the waist (looks like these were moved and re-stitched). There may be some slight color variation throughout, but this can be typical with natural fabrics and is not a flaw.
