BLACK/SILVER METALLIC PLEATED WRAP COCKTAIL SKIRT by BILL BLASS

Known for his impeccable and understated designs, American fashion designer Bill Blass was a favorite among a who's who list New York City's high-profile socialites. He was a flamboyant and jovial man who attended as many A-list parties as he could. Beloved for his stylish, practical, and timeless designs, Blass created a glamorous but restrained look. He is credited with bringing back the cocktail dress in 1975 and was as famous for his day wear as he was for his evening wear. His luxurious clothing made from ornate fabrics in bright colors defined American fashion of the time. His designs were favorites of Candace Bergen, Barbara Walters, and First Ladies, Nancy Reagan and Barbara Bush, just to name a few.

Based on the labels, this beautiful skirt dates to the 1970s, and is a truly gorgeous piece and in excellent condition!
