70s Beige Wool Fedora with Brown Headband and Bow Wired Edged Good Condition 70s Does 40s Betmar$125.00
Betmar has been making hats since the 1930's, but I can tell from the font on the label, that this fedora was made in the 1970s, when it was fashionable to dress in the style of the 1940s. This fedora has a wire in the brim, as women's hats had, for shaping. There may have been a hat band, originally, and you can add one, to hide the slight surface dirt seen on the inside front ( see close up.) Other flaws include a moth bite on the under-side of the brim, so it will not be seen ( see close up_, and a VERY pale mark on the top ( see close up). Otherwise, it is in great condition, with a beautifully crafted bow. the same fabric goes around the brim, and there are rows of brown stitching to add to its well-tailored look. inside size is 21. 75" . the brim is 3" wide, and the crown is 4. 5" high. Great for sporting around town, fall - spring. Fabric is a wool felt. Other locations may incur an additional fee. Just le me know where you live, so we can work out an inexpensive solution.
